1986 Established

Established as a ceramic-centric company that was challenged by competition from various countries, resulting in diversification into the defense sector manufacturing Body Armor, Vehicle Armor, Ultra High Thermal Shock Resistance Ceramics which can be quenched into water from 2000°K, Slip Casted Fused Silica Radomes for missiles and CerDome Radomes for use up to 1600°C for aerospace and defense. Nimra has further expanded its business for Ultra-Low Weight and Flexible Add-on Armor panels for various applications such as Body Armor, Vehicle Armor, Heavy Vehicles Armor, Armor for Tanks, Helicopters, Bunkers etc. which are suitable for use at Extremely High and Low Temperatures range from (Plus) + 60°C to (Minus) – 60°C.

Ultra High Thermal Shock Resistance Ceramics which can be quenched in water from 2000°K

Nimra Cerglass Researched, Developed and Manufactuered ultra high temperature heating system for Hypersonic Wind Tunnel Project for use upto 2000°K.
While working on development of Thermal Shock Resistance Ceramics, Nimra Cerglass approached most reputed ceramic manufactuers worldwide, the maximum Thermal Shock Resistance Ceramics offered by Worlds Most Advanced Ceramic Companies Worldwide was in the range of 100°C to 300°C, we purchased trail quanties and tested for thermal shock, the ceramics did not withstand thermal shock of 100°C to 300°C also.
Taking this as a challenge Nimra Cerglass developed its own proprietory Ceramics which not only withstood Thermal Shock up to 2000°K to room temperature, but our Ceramics withstood 2000 cycles of quenching in water from 2000°K and again inserting the component in wet condition into the furnace at 2000°K.
